Default Mo/E Hydra 55 farm

I used to farm hydras before the griffon nerf, and i found it to be quite effective.
the build is a standard 55 hp monk build, to farm the hydras outside of augury rock.
I use a Fiery Flame Spitter of Enchanting (20%) and the -50 hp grim cesta.

Here is the attribute point distribution:
12 Fire Mastery
10 Healing Prayers
10 Protection Prayers
12 Divine Favor

Skills:
Protective Spirit
Healing Breeze
Spell Breaker
Flame Burst
Mending
Balthazars Spirit
Blessed Aura
Blessed Signet

Start by casting the enchants, mending, balth spirit, and blessed aura, and use signet to get energy back up. I usually start out going north-east to take out those hydras. Cast protective spirit and spellbreaker, and grab as much aggro as you can get. I dont cast healing breeze until I stop after i have aggro. With Spellbreaker on, they wont be casting meteor, which is the main reason i choose to bring it. Spam Flame Burst, along with renewing protective spirit and healing breeze when needed. Energy shouldnt be a problem because balthazars spirit, but if it is then use blessed signet.
Thats basically it, the drops arent amazing, but i do get the occasional gold.
I used to farm this with SS, but i found that by using SB, it makes it easier and flame burst is more effective.

Have fun and good luck!

This build at the bottom almost provides the same thing but theres always simple touches that other people must have there way so I guess this well help and hydras aren't my fortea because of the knock down factor.

Nah, this build isn't half as effective / easy as simple 55 with SoJ

Balth's isn't enough to keep spamming flame burst.... aggroing large groups means maintaining SB for longer than possible.

+ you are only doing 75 dmg, when they hit my SoJ, they are taking 50, and they hit faster than I can recast flame burst 3 times.

Once aggroed, 1 cast of SoJ kills all the Hydras attacking me.

k why not just use balth. spirit, prot. spirit, mending, either healing breeze or watch. spirit, sliver armor, glyph of concetration, (free slot) i would use either meteor shower only if you plan on using fire in attrib points or use spellbreaker although kinda has no point unless there's actually degen's from hydra's i usu dont run into them but whatever.

why use spellbreaker as your elite? SoJ is so much better.

Also this belongs on the farming forum.
